Mechatronics engineering student at UFRN (Brazil), with an exchange year at INSA Rouen Normandie (France). I build autonomous drones, robot perception pipelines and embedded systems — and I document my projects here.

Currently: undergraduate researcher at UFRN, working on autonomous drone navigation with SLAM.

About

I'm a mechatronics engineering student at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), passionate about robotics, computer vision, embedded systems and edge AI.

During my undergraduate studies I founded Zune Drones, a team focused on autonomous drones: we build and program drones to perform autonomous tasks using computer vision, AI and ROS, and published our work at COBICET and ECOP.

As an undergraduate researcher (PIBIC), I first worked on perception for an autonomous sailboat, fusing YOLO detections, stereo vision, IMU and GPS to georeference detected objects. Today my research is on autonomous drone navigation with SLAM in pre-mapped environments. I also took part in EMBARCATECH, a technology residency where I developed embedded and IoT solutions for companies.

Between 2025 and 2026 I spent an exchange year studying Computer Science and Information Technology at INSA Rouen Normandie, in France.
